Embedded Firmware design and development for Fire Detection and Alarm. Individuals must have the ability to understand system requirements, understand system architecture, prepare design & code using C, C++, perform unit and system testing. The selected candidate must have a background in embedded firmware development, design and code review, devices/system interaction, and troubleshooting (Debugging capabilities), and will be involved in all aspects of the system software development process (concept, design, reviews, coding, and validation). The selected candidate should understand schematics. The selected candidate shall be able to work individually and with team – hardware and software both locally and globally. Need to collaborate with teams at global locations across different time zones. Having exposure to Embedded Linux (System Programming), IOT and BLE will add advantages.

Education:

·       B.E. / B. Tech or M.E. / M. Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

·       8–12 years of embedded firmware development experience.

Skills:

·      Strong in Embedded C and C++ software development.

·      Experience with 16 / 32-bit microcontrollers and bare-metal programming.

·      Hands-on with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, RS485, and Modbus.

·      Experience with JTAG/BDM debuggers, emulators, and static analysis tools.

·      Experience with version control systems such as SVN or GIT.

·      Exposure to Embedded Linux, Bluetooth/BLE, and IoT is an added advantage.

Desirable Skills:

·      Experience with Google Test / C++ unit testing frameworks.

·      Familiarity with UML, JIRA (Atlassian tools), and model-based design.

·      Knowledge of cybersecurity and connected systems applications.

·      Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.

OTHER COMPETENCIES:

·      Understanding of the entire system development process.

·      Strong English communication skills - oral and written.

·      Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

·      Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.

·      Enthusiastic about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices.

·      Enthusiastic to work on POC’s for technology research efforts that result in prototypes for concept evaluation.

·      Working experience in product-based companies.

·      Understanding and responding quickly to customer issues
