Job role : System Design & Development: · Lead the detailed design and development of microcontroller, microprocessor, FPGA, and SoC-based hardware platforms, including support for DDR, SDRAM, Flash memory, and high-speed interfaces. · Define both high-level system architecture and detailed low-level circuit designs. · Design, modify, and validate complex electronic systems involving analog circuits, digital logic, high-speed interfaces, displays, RF, and antenna subsystems. Technical Documentation: · Develop and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, product requirements, schematics, BOMs, and design documents. · Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and reflects any design modifications or enhancements. Hardware Integration & Validation: · Perform circuit simulations, tolerance analysis, signal integrity checks, and design validation tests. Component Selection & Value Engineering: · Select components considering cost, performance, availability, and lifecycle. · Drive initiatives around obsolescence management, component derating, and value engineering. PCB Design & Fabrication Support: · Provide layout guidelines and constraints to PCB designers. · Review PCB layouts for best practices, high-speed constraints, and manufacturability. · Manage and maintain PCB Gerber files and fabrication documentation. Testing & Compliance: · Develop FMEA and manufacturing test plans. · Work with internal and third-party test labs to ensure products meet regulatory and certification requirements (FCC, CE, UL, etc.). · Debug hardware and support firmware teams in system bring-up and performance optimization. Process & Communication: · Adhere to internal hardware/firmware development processes and recommend improvements. · Effectively communicate architecture concepts, design decisions, test results, and project status to cross-functional teams and leadership. Experience: • 14+ Years of total work Experience Required Technical Skills: · The experience and skills required include but are not limited to the following: · Min 14+ yrs industry experience in the area of embedded systems and hardware development. · Experience in micro-controller & FPGA based designs for communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, CAN, BLE, Wi-Fi Chipset, cellular modules, wireless modules and external memories, LCD & touch screen interfaces etc. · Experience in the RFFE design, antenna selection and tuning. · Proficiency in Schematic capture tools like Orcad/PADS/Altium is a must. · Proficiency in circuit analysis, circuit simulation using PSpice/Mathcad/Matlab and circuit tolerance analysis is required. · Exposure to PCB layout tools like Allegro/PADS/Altium layout is required. · Experience with microcontrollers/microprocessor applications using PICxxx series, TI’s MSPxxx series, NXP, Renesas devices, etc. · Experience in Programming languages like C and Assembly, a plus. · Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques. · Experience in testing of high speed boards using standard lab equipment's.
