Lead Engineer - Frontend

As a Lead Engineer - Frontend at Keka, located in Hyderabad (Gachibowli) and working from the office, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of Angular-based applications as well as leading and managing a team of frontend developers. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing reusable and scalable code components using Angular frameworks, conducting code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to frontend development, and staying updated with the latest trends in frontend technologies to share knowledge within the team. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, and actively participate in agile development processes. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 7 years of frontend development experience with a minimum of 1 year in a lead or senior role. Proficiency in modern frontend technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS is required. An in-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design principles, and experience with frontend state management libraries like Ngrx and Rxjs is essential. Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, accessibility standards, and strong problem-solving skills are highly valued. Excellent communication skills and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field are necessary for this position. Nice-to-have skills include experience with progressive web applications (PWAs), Angular frameworks and libraries like Angular CLI, Angular Material, RxJS, familiarity with backend technologies or full-stack experience, contributions to open-source projects, or a portfolio of side projects, and knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
