Description
You will join the Customer Discovery Team, a part of the broader Direct To Consumer (DTC) team at Dr. Martens. As a Senior Engineer, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of front-end integrations and 3rd parties to enhance the customer experience. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to ensuring cohesive integration and alignment with business objectives and user needs. Your role will involve identifying opportunities for performance and scalability improvements in a fast-paced global retail environment. - Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of front-end and back-end components for complex multi-channel customer experience projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). - Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure integration and functionality across the stack. - Mentor and guide junior developers to foster continuous learning and improvement. - Support project timelines by identifying and mitigating risks, resolving technical bottlenecks. - Drive continuous improvement by optimizing performance and efficiency across the application. - Use data-driven insights for architectural and design decisions, showcasing the impact of full-stack development. - Promote a culture of collaboration, agility, and innovation. - Must-Have Experience in Typescript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js with hands-on experience in enterprise-level applications. - Understanding of release management in a monolithic product and experience in the retail industry, especially in a global or omnichannel context. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Experience with RESTful API design, development, integration, and asynchronous request handling. - Familiarity with GraphQL APIs alongside REST, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and working with commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, Commerce Cloud, Salesforce. - Experience in responsive design principles, mobile-first development, and relevant educational background in computer science or related field.,
