Lead Engineer (Electrical MEP Projects)

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimation and Costing

• Plan and estimate quantities and costs for electrical works in MEP projects.
  
• Prepare BOQs, evaluate material requirements, and optimize project budgets.
  

2. Project Management

• Lead and manage the execution of electrical activities in residential, commercial, and industrial MEP projects from initiation to completion.
  
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery.
  
• Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams for integrated project execution.
  

3. On-Site Supervision

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgears, panels, wiring, and lighting.
  
• Ensure work aligns with approved designs, technical standards, and safety regulations.
  

4. Quality Control

• Conduct regular inspections and quality audits.
  
• Identify and rectify non-conformities and ensure compliance with project specifications and electrical codes.
  

5. Team Coordination

• Supervise and mentor site engineers, contractors, and workforce.
  
• Conduct regular coordination meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
  

6. Technical Problem Solving

• Resolve on-site challenges related to electrical design, materials, and installation.
  
• Provide technical expertise and innovative solutions to the project team.
  

7. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure adherence to statutory electrical codes and safety norms.
  
• Promote a culture of safety across all project activities.
  

8. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain daily progress reports, test records, and site documentation.
  
• Prepare project handover documentation, audit reports, and client presentations.
  

9. Drafting and Design

• Prepare and review detailed

  2D and 3D electrical drawings

  , layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Update and revise drawings based on project modifications and client feedback.
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  6-10 years

  in electrical project execution, including

  MEP project experience

  in residential, commercial, or industrial sectors.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in

  AutoCAD, Revit

  , and other electrical design/drafting tools.
• Strong understanding of

  HT & LT systems

  ,

  solar power systems

  , and

  government licensing

  processes.
• Skilled in

  estimation, costing, and project management consultancy

  .
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
  

• Knowledge:
