Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Online Community and Events Manager to build and nurture a thriving long-term community and social media presence. This role is crucial for maintaining our industry leadership by engaging with professionals and identifying future leaders. You will be responsible for creating and managing online events, implementing effective Social Media Management, driving Influencer Marketing initiatives, and coordinating speakers for both online and offline events. This position will also help us penetrate new markets and develop a strong Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy based on our online events marketing
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Building & Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to build, grow, and engage a vibrant online and offline community, fostering a sense of belonging and loyalty.
- Content Curation & Moderation: Curate and create engaging content relevant to the community, and actively moderate discussions to ensure a positive and constructive environment.
- Online Event Management: Plan, organize, promote, and execute a series of engaging online events (e.g., webinars, workshops, virtual conferences). Manage all aspects from concept to post-event analysis.
- Social Media Strategy & Management: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and support community growth. Manage all key social media channels in terms of Social Media Calendar, posting content, engagement management and performance reporting.
- Influencer Marketing: Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with key industry influencers to amplify our message, expand reach, and drive community participation.
- Speaker Coordination: Liaise with speakers for both online and offline events, managing schedules, content requirements, and logistics.
- Market Analysis & GTM Strategy: Analyze market trends and community insights to identify new market opportunities. Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies specifically tailored for online events marketing.
- Feedback & Reporting: Collect and analyze community feedback, providing insights to internal teams for product/service improvement. Report on community growth, engagement metrics, and event performance.
- Brand Advocacy: Cultivate brand advocates within the community and empower them to promote our initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven 3+ years experience in community management, social media management, and online event management.
- Demonstrable success in building and engaging online communities (ex: Social Media Communities, Discourse Community, Reddit Community, etc)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
- Experience with influencer marketing campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially for event planning.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Creative thinker with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Experience with virtual event platforms is a plus.
