Job Description:The accountant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payments, managing bank reconciliations, and handling petty cash operations. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will also assist with monthly accounting tasks and ensure timely updates in financial systems, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of the organizations financial records.Responsibilities:Collect, verify, and provide invoices to the relevant team members for accounting, ensuring all payment files are prepared and reviewed before submission for approvalProcess payments, including uploading payment files, obtaining necessary approvals, posting UTR details, and ensuring entries are recorded accurately in Tally.Ensure proper documentation by handing over payment documents to the designated personnel and updating invoice details in internal software, while monitoring the payment status.Complete weekly Payment Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and provide a daily status report to the reporting manager. Manage petty cash for trusts, update the petty cash register, and post entries in Tally. Collect and process cultural bills, download monthly bank statements, and create and maintain vendor profiles. Oversee POS machine updates, and ensure proper handling and storage of QR codes, stands, and paper bundles.Qualifications and Key Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.Proficiency in Tally, Microsoft Excel, and strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
