Lead Designer

As a Design Lead at Divami Design Labs in Hyderabad, India, you will play a pivotal role in defining, elevating, and driving user experience for digital products. Your responsibilities will revolve around design strategy and vision, stakeholder influence and storytelling, leadership and team growth, user research and data-driven decisions, as well as agile execution and collaboration. You will be responsible for defining the design strategy in alignment with business goals, market trends, and user needs. Ensuring consistency, usability, and accessibility across all products, you will translate complex problems into intuitive, elegant, and high-performing user experiences. Championing the voice of the user, you will present design decisions backed by research, data, and psychology. You will influence Product, Engineering, and Business teams by advocating for user-centered design solutions and telling compelling design stories through prototypes, case studies, and interactive demos. In terms of leadership and team growth, you will conduct design reviews, critiques, and feedback sessions to ensure high-quality output. You will establish best practices in design thinking, usability testing, and agile workflows, as well as lead, mentor, and upskill UX and UI designers to foster a culture of excellence and innovation. You will conduct user research activities such as usability testing, user interviews, and behavioral analysis to drive iterative improvements. Leveraging tools like heatmaps, A/B testing, and analytics, you will optimize experiences based on real user data and advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles. As the owner of the design backlog, you will ensure smooth integration into Agile sprints and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Researchers to ensure seamless execution. Facilitating brainstorming sessions, wireframing workshops, and design sprints will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 5 years of UX/UI design experience, including 1 year in a leadership role, along with a strong portfolio showcasing data-driven problem-solving and impactful design work. Your expertise in design leadership and strategy, storytelling and stakeholder influence, data-driven UX optimization, accessibility and inclusive design, as well as UX/UI mastery and collaboration will be essential.
