Lead Designer

In this role at Space Matrix, you will play a crucial part in strategizing design solutions to meet program requirements and budgets efficiently. You will be involved in various projects, offering pre-design services like feasibility studies and defining design specifications. Collaborating closely with the design team, you will ensure seamless development of designs, maintaining high standards of quality, staying within budget, and adhering to schedules. Your responsibilities will include leading and participating in project meetings and client presentations when necessary. Additionally, you will oversee design management, ensuring effective coordination with project stakeholders. You will also be responsible for quality control, reviewing design documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of project team objectives. Traveling for project presentations, coordination meetings, and site visits may be required in this role. To excel in this position, you are expected to have over 10 years of experience in Commercial interior, Corporate Interiors, or Workplace design projects, along with team management experience. You should possess a strong design sense and technical skills to take a project from concept to completion. Being a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile is essential. Your ability to multitask, coupled with excellent time management and organizational skills, will be highly valued. In terms of qualifications, a registered Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required. Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Photoshop is also necessary for success in this role.,
