Lead Design Manager(Process Equipment for Chemical and Pharma)

As a Design Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the design and engineering team focused on manufacturing chemical processing equipment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the design, development, and optimization of pressure vessels while ensuring compliance with international codes and standards. Your expertise in technical aspects, leadership qualities, and strategic vision will be instrumental in delivering top-notch designs that align with client needs and company objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Leadership & Team Management: - Lead and manage the design and engineering team effectively. - Design & Development: - Supervise the design and development of Agitated reactors and related equipment. - Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications. - Ensure that designs meet functional, technical, safety, and cost-efficiency requirements. - Compliance & Standards: - Ensure adherence to national and international design codes such as PED, ASME Section VIII, Division 1 & 2, or equivalent. - Conduct technical risk assessments and design reviews for regulatory and client compliance. - Keep abreast of changes in codes, standards, and technologies relevant to the industry. - Innovation & Optimization: - Drive innovation in design processes and implement advanced design tools and technologies like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV Elite, and ANSYS. - Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance. - Implement and maintain digital transformation practices such as 3D modeling and simulation techniques. - Project Management: - Efficiently manage design projects to meet timelines and quality standards. - Continuous Improvement: - Identify areas for improvement in design processes and implement necessary changes. Qualifications Required: Educational Background: - Full-time Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional Experience: - 15+ years of experience in Equipment Design, with at least 8+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. - Proficiency in design tools such as PV Elite, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and other FEA tools. - Strong experience in designing rotating equipment and pressure vessels is mandatory. - Experience in Machinery manufacturing; Modular Systems, and skids, etc., is desirable. Technical Knowledge: - Strong understanding of ASME, API, PED, and other international codes and standards. - Proficiency in design calculations, material selection, and welding processes for pressure vessels. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including forming, welding, machining, and testing. Soft Skills: - Excellent leadership and team management skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective client and internal stakeholder interactions. - Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.,
