Job Description

Role Overview: As a Lead Database Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the data architecture and associated data maintenance, integration, and load processes for the organization. You will lead initiatives to build and maintain database technologies, environments, and applications, seeking opportunities for improvements and efficiencies. Additionally, you will architect internal data solutions as part of the full stack to include data modeling and write SQL statement procedures to optimize SQL tuning and query development. Your role will also involve managing the deployment of database solutions, overseeing database security posture, resolving chronic complex problems, and supporting process improvement efforts for automation and reduction in time to deployment. Furthermore, you will be responsible for complex design, development, performance and system testing, and providing guidance to experienced database administrators while mentoring junior staff to develop technical skills and capabilities across the team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead initiatives to build and maintain database technologies, environments, and applications - Architect internal data solutions and write SQL statement procedures for optimization - Manage deployment of database solutions and updates to meet project deliverables - Oversee database security posture and proactively identify security risks - Resolve chronic complex problems to prevent future database performance issues - Support process improvement efforts for automation and reduction in time to deployment - Provide functional guidance and advice to experienced database administrators - Mentor junior staff by providing training to develop technical skills and capabilities Qualifications Required: - Experience leading a major work stream or multiple smaller work streams for a large domain initiative - Experience in database architecture or other relevant IT experience, with knowledge across multiple product lines - Experience supporting automation and/or cloud delivery effort, and performing financial and cost analysis - Experience in leading business system application and database architecture design - Experience developing specialization in a particular functional area such as replication, performance tuning, data design, and data security (Note: No additional details of the company were mentioned in the provided job description),
