Job Description

As a Lead Data Scientist at Mastercard's Finicity, you will have the opportunity to lead, mentor, and grow the data science team while focusing on developing production-grade services and capabilities. You will be responsible for planning and directing data science/machine learning projects, designing and implementing machine learning models for various financial applications, and continuously measuring, validating, monitoring, and improving the performance of machine learning models. Additionally, you will be expected to propose creative solutions to new challenges, present technical problems and findings to stakeholders effectively, leverage best practices in machine learning and data engineering, and identify areas for improvement within the team. - Lead, mentor, and grow the data science team and tech stack - Plan and direct data science/machine learning projects - Design and implement machine learning models for financial applications - Measure, validate, monitor, and improve performance of machine learning models - Propose creative solutions to new challenges - Present technical problems and findings to stakeholders - Leverage best practices in machine learning and data engineering - Identify areas for improvement within the team - Be a strong communicator and able to effectively convey your vision and roadmap - 8+ years of experience in data science/machine learning model development and deployments - Exposure to financial transactional structured and unstructured data is a plus - Strong understanding of NLP, Statistical Modeling, Visualization, and advanced Data Science techniques/methods - Experience with SQL/Database, Kubernetes, Containers, Docker, REST APIs, Event Streams, etc. - Familiarity with technologies such as Tensorflow, Python, Sklearn, Pandas, etc. - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics (M.S preferred),
