Responsibilities

The Lead Data Engineer at Cordis is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable data platforms and pipelines on the Oracle technology stack to support the organization s business operations and strategic initiatives. This role requires a forward-thinking data engineering professional who can architect enterprise-class data solutions using tools such as Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Analytics Cloud, ODI/ODI-equivalent ETL, and PL/SQL, ensure high data quality and performance, and provide guidance on modern data, analytics, and GenAI-enabling technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop data modeling solutions following industry best practices.
  • Design and implement Star and extended Star schema models using SCD Type I and II techniques. Measure and enhance SQL performance, including query and database tuning.
  • Execute data masking, encryption, wrangling, and pipeline orchestration tasks. Demonstrate expertise in Oracle ODI technology and hands-on experience with Golden Gate. Proactively upskill and learn Golden Gate and APEX technologies to support organizational growth strategies. Integrate data with Salesforce (SFDC) and other third-party tools. Optimize ADW/ODI environments for cost efficiency and timely delivery of business data solutions.
  • Create automation scripts and programs for data operations. Domain knowledge in healthcare manufacturing and distribution is advantageous. Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills; work effectively within teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution or an equivalent foreign qualification is required. Alternatively, three years of increasingly responsible experience in the specialty may substitute for each year of formal education.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience working with Oracle Cloud Technologies is essential. At least 15 years background in Data Modelling,
  • Warehouse, and Database architecture design is required. Practical knowledge of ERP systems (SAP & JDE) is necessary. Key skills needed: ODI, ADW A minimum of 5 years of hands-on ODI experience is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively both within teams and across organizational boundaries. Capable of developing ML/AI solutions leveraging OAC/ADW technologies (OCI) to achieve real business results.
