Lead Data Architect

As a Data & Analytics professional reporting to the Enterprise Architect in the global Logistics & Freight Forwarding industry, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - **Data Strategy & Architecture:** - Lead the modernization of legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based data frameworks. - Integrate structured and unstructured data into unified insights platforms. - **Governance & Compliance:** - Implement data governance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) to ensure data quality and manage privacy compliance. - Ensure adherence to governance standards. - **Analytics & Insights:** - Drive self-service BI, dashboards, and predictive models using tools like Power BI, Azure, and Snowflake. - Translate complex data into actionable business insights. - **ETL & Data Integration:** - Lead ETL pipeline development (AWS Glue, SSIS), manage SQL/NoSQL data migrations, and optimize performance. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** - Collaborate with business, tech, and analytics teams to prioritize data needs and foster a data-driven culture. - **Team Leadership:** - Build and mentor a high-performing data team comprising analysts, scientists, and architects. - Promote experimentation and innovation within the team. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10-12 years of experience in Data & Analytics roles with successful modernization project delivery. - Hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, data lakes, and cloud warehouses (AWS, Azure, Snowflake). - Strong business acumen and stakeholder engagement skills. - Exposure to machine learning and data governance tools such as Collibra and Alation would be a plus. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering key outcomes such as: - Centralized data platform with standardized pipelines and reporting stack. - KPI-driven dashboards and AI/ML-powered analytics. - Robust data governance and compliance framework. - Building a high-performance data team and fostering a company-wide data culture. - Developing a business-aligned data strategy to drive growth, efficiency, and insights.,
