Lead Data Architect

As a seasoned Data Architect with extensive experience in data modeling and architecting data solutions, particularly with Snowflake, your role will be crucial in ensuring the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of data systems. You will need to have 8-12 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data architectures to meet the evolving needs of the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Data Architecture Design:** Develop, optimize, and oversee conceptual and logical data systems to meet both current and future business requirements. - **Data Modeling:** Create and maintain data models using Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security. - **Solution Architecture:** Design and implement end-to-end data solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access. - **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - **Performance Optimization:** Monitor and improve data system performance, addressing scalability, efficiency, and data quality issues. - **Governance and Compliance:** Ensure data architectures comply with data governance policies, standards, and industry regulations. - **Technology Evaluation:** Stay current with emerging data technologies and assess their potential impact and value to the organization. - **Mentorship and Leadership:** Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. **Qualifications Required:** - 8-12 Years of Experience in data architecture and data modeling, specifically in Snowflake. - Proficiency in Snowflake data warehousing platform. - Strong understanding of data modeling concepts like normalization, denormalization, star schema, and snowflake schema. - Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools. - Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices. - Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning for large-scale data systems. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and related data services. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
