We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead the definition, management, and evolution of business metadata, including business terms, rules, KPI definitions, and data quality standards. This role will be instrumental in driving enterprise-wide alignment on critical data elements (CDEs), sustaining business glossaries, and enabling data-driven decision-making through robust governance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Metadata Management

• Define, document, and maintain business terms, rules, KPI definitions, and data quality standards.
• Ensure consistency and alignment with enterprise data governance frameworks and business objectives.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to validate and approve metadata definition

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering:

• Lead cross-functional workshops with business stakeholders to
• Author and validate entries in the Business Glossary and CDE catalog.
• Gather and refine business requirements for data quality rules and KPIs.
• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and traceability of metadata.

CDE & KPI Catalog Sustenance

• Maintain and update the CDE catalog, KPI definitions, and acceptance criteria.
• Support impact analysis and change management processes related to metadata updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance, business rule management, KPI governance
• Strong understanding of data quality principles, metadata management, and KPI frameworks.
• Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured data definitions and rules.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to data (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for data integrity.
• Med-Device Data Management Experience preferred
