Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of the Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) /Credit Portfolio Management Financial Assets and Insurance (GLBA/CPM/FAI) team, focusing on providing credit analysis and managing credit relationships with Financial Institutions in the Asia Pacific region. Your main responsibilities will include credit analysis of asset managers, regulated funds, pension funds, and private equity funds, covering various product lines such as OTC derivatives, prime services products, foreign exchange, repo, securities lending, and structured transactions. Additionally, you will be involved in managing key components of counterparty credit administration and ongoing monitoring of client credit quality. Key Responsibilities: - Process credit requests in a timely manner to meet business deadlines and maintain the annual review cycle. - Research and analyze financial data on clients to prepare high-quality analysis in credit applications addressing client credit risk and transaction risk. - Conduct sector research covering Asia Pacific to support the analysis. - Develop strong credit judgment skills when recommending credit facilities, considering facility size, tenor, and client suitability. - Propose obligor ratings using internal rating tools. - Manage key components of counterparty credit administration such as internal ratings, trading documentation, and credit risk limits. - Perform ongoing monitoring of client credit quality to identify potential deterioration. - Monitor exposure and manage credit limit exceptions, adapting to accounting and regulatory changes. - Coordinate all aspects of a credit request, liaising with legal staff, Risk Division, and relevant parties. - Assist in special credit-related assignments and projects as required. Qualifications Required: - Ability to organize time and manage deliverables to meet deadlines. - Ability to identify and accommodate shifting priorities with minimal notice. - Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition using quantitative and qualitative data. - Acquire the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Possess enthusiasm and energy to learn various financial institution industry sectors. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with team members, front office bankers, risk team, and clients. - Proficiency in using Word for written analysis and Excel for spreadsheet analysis. - Ability to acquire knowledge of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors. - Ability to investigate, research, synthesize data, and draw appropriate conclusions. - Ability to write concisely and convey analysis and conclusions effectively. - Desired: Knowledge of capital markets/traded products and committed financing facilities. - Desired: Knowledge of the Asian Banking Industry.
