Lead Business Rule Engine

Role & responsibilities

Rule Design and Implementation:

• Design, develop, and implement business rules for retail loan origination, underwriting, pricing, and approval processes.

• Configure and maintain rules within the BRE to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and IT teams to gather and analyse business requirements.

• Translate business requirements into technical rules and workflows within the BRE.

System Optimization:

• Continuously monitor and optimize business rules to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.

• Conduct regular reviews of existing rules to ensure they align with current business objectives and regulatory standards.

Testing and Validation:

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or modified rules.

• Validate rule outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with business logic.

Documentation and Training:

• Maintain detailed documentation of business rules, workflows, & configurations.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Identify and resolve issues related to business rule execution.

• Provide technical support for BRE-related queries and problems.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all business rules comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.

• Collaborate with compliance and respective stake holders to implement necessary controls within the BRE.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Accounting, or related field.

Experience:

• Preferably 3-6 years of experience working with Business Rule Engines, risk management with a focus on leading risk and control assessments

• Experience in banking or financial services, specifically in auto loans or retail lending, is highly preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and risk management concepts & techniques.

• Experience with risk management software, dashboards, or reporting tools is a plus. Key Competencies
