Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead testing and inspection for Bar and Wire Rod Products to ensure finished product quality
Follow sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data and monitor the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
Manage customer issues by coordinating effectively with sales, production and customer teams
Evaluate vendors and counsel them on quality improvement; undertake inspections at vendor sites
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Participate in cross-functional meetings as required in order to strengthen the production across the plant and other related quality processes for Bar and Wire Rod Products
Identify areas of improvement from the SLA, business strategy, metric and initiate improvement projects
Leverage own understanding of quality processes, prevalent market practices and planned future requirements to highlight and recommend changes in Quality Management plans
Identify training needs and conduct training interventions to meet quality standards
Manage team in terms of goal setting, delivery, performance, development, and engagement

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy with 8+ years of manufacturing quality assurance /control experience, preferably in steel manufacturing setups
