Manager - Quality

Role & responsibilities

• Derive Quality Strategy to the Organisational level and drive consistent improvement using Quality Management System. Develop and improve production and engineering processes, procedures, Controls methods and techniques.

• Responsible for developing, implementing, assessing and improving quality assurance systems, policies, processes, procedures and controls ensuring that quality of products conform to established standards and guidelines.

• Review current work instructions and procedures make align to the company policy / process, Initiate the new SOP's, WI if requried.

• Ensure Process Robustness & overall reliability of Duroflex Operations by leading a Team of Quality Assurance, Incoming Quality, In process Quality & Continuous Improvement teams.

• Handling customer complaints through Sales Force with CRM / Sales team (GT) and providing the clearance/disposition on time.

• Establish Daily Management Review meeting on inspection, yield, Rejection material handling and corrective and preventive action. Proactively anticipate and correct issues, establish / improve systems / processes to ensure consistent Right First Time Output of product.

• Establish the Quality gates in all the processes wherever required and ensure no defective material is passed.

• Responsible for handling the non conformance materials and provide the disposition within stipulated time period.

• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data and escalating to the management team and implement it.

• Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues utilizing the process as well as other applicable processes with expertise in coaching teams on Problem Solving techniques including RCA (Root Cause Analysis), 8D Analysis, and 5 Why Analysis.

• Appraise internal and external customers requirements are identified, implemented and make sure customers are satisfied.

• Co-ordinating with Quality Personnels and WH Managers on various locations of WH, Dealers & Dipo's for NU materials and sales return materail disposition periodically and initiate the rework/refurbishment and closure.

• Ensure the documented inforations are maintained clearly for all the NU/Salres Return materials dispositions, reworks etc in Uniware.

• Preparing the daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports and sharing with the concern peoples along with action plan.

• Conduct the analysis of return materials w.r.t customer complaints and sharing to the management with RCA & CAPA and ensure the significant reduction on the returns.

• Coordinating with purchase team for New supplier selection / evaluation / development and responsible for approving the new samples etc

• Coordinating with NPD and approve the new products as per specifications before launching the product and ensure all the Quality, process requirements are adhered.

• Ensure the MRP prices availability for the new products / non standard mattresses on time before the production taken place and also the MRP labels are transferred to across all the ware houses whenever the price changes taken place and ensure the smooth changes with the support of WH team.

• Ensure the MRP Labels are complaince to legal metrology requirements and no complaints on the legal metrology across India.

• Initiate the continues improvements, Kaizens and cost saving projects on the relevant process and implement the same.

• Conduct the regular internal audits for the adherence of QMS across all process and product, process and supplier audits based on the plan.

• Coordinate with the certificate bodies for the ISO 9001:2015 audits and ensure the certifications without any major non conformances.
• Lead, co-ordinate and support for all kind of audits including customer, QMS etc and ensure the complaince as per the standard requirements.
