Job Description

Responsibilities This role is part of the team that provides Yardi support to the accounting teams at Principal Financial Group.
This team consists of several processes like General ledger (Reconciliations and Journals support), Reporting, Control and Compliance and system support. The Lead Analyst will be part of the team to modernize and improve systems and processes to ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial and non-financial data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used by the business. Responsibilities: Ability to read and understand financial statements with observations and findings with the highest level of attention and accuracy. Monitoring and analysis of data for various participants and able to prepare unaudited financial statement and/or report. Provide Yardi support to Fund Accountants, Property Managers, Asset Managers (internal and external) Ensure robust controls are established and maintained to avoid and minimize the risk to the information on Yardi. Oversee implementation of new modules including task assignment, resource management and project documentation. Oversee Yardi upgrades Work with various departments to modernize processes and procedures as needed. Ability to reconcile data with an auditor mindset. Take lead in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues Serve as the main point of contact for project-related communication. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports and records. Ensure all project objectives have been met and deliverables are completed to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Monitor day to day transactions are recorded in the system, highlighting discrepancy and working towards fixing the issue. Good knowledge of the Yardi system. Skills: Expert understanding of Accounting Financial concepts terminologies, Excel skills and techno savvy to handle work pressure Excellent communication skills to explain the data / report to senior leaders and stakeholders Ability to build/develop relationships and stakeholder management Adapt to change, be agile and flexible. Good team player collaboration skills Ability to adjust and flexibility to work in shifts to ensure timely deliverables and participation in review meetings Ability to learn and grasp new business processes Working knowledge of AP/AR/GL functions Sound knowledge of Excel Functionality and other MS Office tools (Powerpoint/Word) Proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision, consistently driving projects forward. Adept at handling multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high standards. Must have planning, problem solving and analytical skills. Qualifications 6-9 years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounts function, preferably in an offshore set-up with Commerce graduation/post graduation or CA/ICWA Intermediate.
