Lead AI Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Lead AI Engineer who can drive the end-to-end execution of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for our customers. You’ll lead multiple client engagements, collaborate across teams, and architect scalable AI systems that create measurable impact.

While this is a customer-facing role, you’ll also play a critical part in building our core backend systems, translating customer insights into product evolution.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with customers to design and deliver custom AI use cases and solutions that drive real business value.
• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of backend and AI systems powering the AI Planet platform.
• Design and optimize large-scale GenAI and AgenticAI pipelines - including LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, personalization, and conversational agents.
• Build and scale backend infrastructure (APIs, microservices, data systems, and real-time services) to support enterprise-grade AI workloads.
• Mentor and grow a world-class AI engineering team, review code, enforce best practices, and foster a culture of learning and ownership.
• Collaborate with customers, the delivery team, and the sales function to translate business goals into scalable AI architectures.
• Continuously research, experiment, and integrate advancements in LLMs, GenAI, agentic workflows, and reinforcement learning.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years

  of professional experience in backend engineering and AI/ML systems.
• Proven experience building

  2–3 production-grade RAG or Agentic AI applications

  .
• Expertise in

  Python

  and modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of

  databases (SQL & NoSQL)

  ,

  cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

  , and

  MLOps pipelines

  .
• Deep hands-on experience with

  machine learning/NLP/LLM frameworks

  (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
• Experience deploying

  scalable distributed systems

  and optimizing performance.
• Strong

  problem-solving skills

  , ownership mindset, and the ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end.
