Implementation Engineer
Job Description
The Implementation Engineer plays an essential role in the deployment and setup of software or systems within the clients business environment. This position involves working closely with the client to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, translating these needs into a functional and efficient system. The engineering level resource will be responsible for taking an already completed Arista design and configuration and performing the hands-on execution work. The resource should have basic network experience as well as basic Ansible experience (ability to run a script and identify if the script is not running properly). Some basic knowledge of Arista CVP would be desirable.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Meet client-specific requirements, ensuring compatibility with their existing IT infrastructure and systems.
Perform rigorous testing of systems to ensure stability, efficiency, and security before full-scale implementation.
Provide detailed documentation and standard operating procedures for the client, ensuring they understand the new systems and any changes made.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation phase, offering timely and effective solutions.
Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of implementation projects.
Evaluate post-implementation system performance, making adjustments as necessary and providing ongoing support and optimization services.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance or related field/technical training. Must have strong analytical skills.
Minimum of 3 years experience required in technical role in the following focus areas: Data Center, Cisco Nexus Platform switches, Arista, Arista CVP desired, BGP, Automation experience must have Ansible. Python is a plus.
Unix/Linux background is a plus.
CCIE preferred
Financial services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking), is a plus.
Ability to be nimble and flexible; prioritize workload, proactively react to issues and consistently react to shifting deadlines.
Ability to work weekends (as needed) for migration work
Do
Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup) Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues. Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc. Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness
