Job Description

A Last Mile Manager oversees the final stage of the delivery process, from a distribution center to the customer. They are responsible for ensuring efficient and timely delivery, managing delivery personnel, and optimizing routes to improve customer experience and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities: Delivery Operations: Managing daily delivery operations, including dispatching deliveries, monitoring routes, and resolving delivery issues. Route Optimization: Utilizing route planning software and data analytics to optimize delivery routes, minimize travel time, and reduce fuel costs. Team Management: Supervising and training delivery personnel, ensuring they meet performance standards, and addressing any issues or complaints. Customer Experience: Addressing customer issues, monitoring feedback, and continuously improving the delivery process to enhance customer satisfaction. Cost Management: Tracking delivery costs, identifying areas for cost reduction, and managing operational budgets. Performance Tracking: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), such as delivery time, on-time delivery rate, and customer satisfaction. Technology and Innovation: Collaborating with technology teams to implement new delivery technologies and streamline operations. Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing teams and driving performance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees and customers. Proficiency in route planning software and data analytics tools. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience in managing budgets and cost reduction initiatives.
