Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend services using PHP Laravel (and introductory exposure to Node.js).
• Help design, optimize, and manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Implement and document RESTful APIs for integration with front-end and third-party systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior developers.
• Participate in performance tuning, caching (Redis/Memcached) and simple queue setups.
• Support deployments to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and learn best practices for scalability and high availability.
• Collaborate in agile scrum ceremonies; stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure a seamless user experience.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Basic familiarity with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Exposure to any JavaScript runtime (Node.js preferred).
• Understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on or academic experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container tools.
• Awareness of microservices principles.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Internship Details

• Duration: 3–6 months
• Location: Kozhikode office
• Stipend and benefits: based on experience and duration
