Job Description

Job Summary

Laptop and Desktop Support Engineer / Hardware and Networking Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Support

Install, configure, and maintain
desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
.
Diagnose and troubleshoot
hardware-related issues
in a timely manner.
Perform
hardware upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance
.
Assist in
asset management
and maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment.

Software & OS Support

Install and configure
operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and software applications
.
Troubleshoot
software-related issues
, system crashes, and performance problems.
Assist with
system imaging and deployment
for new employees.

Network Support

Support the installation and configuration of
network devices (routers, switches, access points, firewalls, etc.)
.
Assist in diagnosing
network connectivity issues
and basic troubleshooting.
Monitor
network performance
and report irregularities to senior staff.
Provide
basic support for LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
.

Technical Assistance

Provide
first-level technical support
to end-users via
calls, emails, and in-person assistance
.
Document and track
support requests, issues, and resolutions
in the ticketing system.
Assist in setting up
new workstations, network configurations, and user accounts
.

Learning and Development

Participate in
training sessions and workshops
to enhance technical skills.
Stay updated with
emerging technologies, best practices, and security protocols
.

Administrative Duties

Maintain documentation for
hardware, software, and network configurations
.
Assist with IT
audits, reporting, and compliance
.
