Land Acquisition Manager - Highways

Role & responsibilities

To identify, evaluate, negotiate, and acquire land parcels required for company projects in line with legal, technical, and financial requirements, while ensuring smooth coordination with landowners, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.

LAND ACQUISITION IN HIGHWAYS/ROADS IS PREFERRED.

Key Responsibilities

1. Land Identification & Survey

• Identify potential land parcels suitable for project development.
  
• Coordinate with surveyors for demarcation, mapping, and verification of land boundaries.
  
• Assess land suitability based on project requirements (access, topography, proximity, etc.).
  

2. Due Diligence

• Collect and verify ownership documents, revenue records, and mutation papers.
  
• Liaise with legal teams to ensure title clearance and absence of disputes.
  
• Identify any encumbrances or restrictions on the land.
  

3. Negotiation & Acquisition

• Initiate and manage negotiations with landowners and intermediaries.
  
• Prepare and finalize land purchase agreements, MoUs, and sale deeds.
  
• Ensure timely payment and registration of acquired land parcels.
  

4. Government Liaison & Compliance

• Coordinate with local authorities for approvals, NOCs, and conversion of land use (if required).
  
• Handle land acquisition under government notification processes where applicable.
  
• Maintain compliance with state and central land acquisition laws.
  

5. Documentation & Record Management

• Maintain updated land records, agreements, and legal documents.
  
• Track and update acquisition status reports and dashboards.
  
• Ensure safe custody of original documents.
  

6. Stakeholder & Community Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with local communities, panchayats, and government officials.
  
• Address concerns of landowners and ensure conflict-free acquisitions.
  

7. Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with legal, finance, and project departments for approvals and payments.
  
• Prepare periodic progress reports on land acquisition status.

Preferred candidate profile

Land Acquisition in Highways / Roads is mandatory.

Job Locations: Punjab, UP, Bihar, West bengal & Gujarat.
