As a Quality Control Engineer, your role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures and checklists for construction projects. You will ensure that materials and workmanship meet the required specifications and standards by coordinating with suppliers to verify the quality of delivered materials. Regular inspections at various stages of construction, including foundations, structural works, and finishes, will be conducted under your supervision. You will be responsible for performing or overseeing on-site testing such as concrete slump tests, compressive strength tests, and soil compaction tests. Maintaining detailed records of test results and inspection reports is crucial to ensure adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards like ISO and ASTM. Identifying and rectifying any non-conformities in construction processes and preparing comprehensive quality reports, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and corrective actions, are part of your duties.
