Lab Manager

Job Description

The Lab Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the in-market testing and lab dip creation facility in Tirupur. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in zipper quality parameters, dyeing processes, and color recipe creation. The Lab Manager will ensure the facility provides efficient and effective services to customers, contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction and product quality. Responsibilities: Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lab, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization. Testing & Quality Control: Conduct and supervise zipper testing according to established standards, analyzing results and providing detailed reports. Customer Complaint Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints, providing timely and effective solutions. Technical Support & Training: Provide technical support and training to customers on zipper usage, maintenance, and quality standards. Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of testing and lab dip equipment.. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of test results and customer interactions. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor lab technicians and color recipe experts. Market Intelligence: Gather and report on market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Textile Technology, Chemistry, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in zipper manufacturing or textile dyeing, with a focus on quality. Thorough knowledge of zipper quality parameters (functional, operational, and aesthetic). Proficiency in using testing equipment and color matching software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership and management skills. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
