Lab Manager

Role & responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility of the seamless operation and administrative control of the laboratories under the O&P Division purview

- Prime responsibility for ensuring the safe handling of test items and measuring instruments.

- Prime responsibility to maintain LTOs related to laboratory operation.

- Overall responsibility to ensure the availability of adequate resources for laboratory operation.

- Prime responsibility towards identifying the purchase requirements (chemicals, reagent, consumable goods, accessories and office stationaries) within authorization limit.

- Responsibility for issuing test reports, analysis and review of results including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations

- Prime responsibility for arranging the regular inspection, checking, calibration/ verification of measuring and testing instruments.

- Responsible for maintenance and in-time verification of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs/ SRMs) in stock along with all other reference items.

- Full conversant with the quality management systems like ISO: 9001 and ISO: 17025 and the procedure and formalities under all the requirements of statuary and regulatory authority.

- Responsibility to liaison with internal QHSE team as well as statutory and regulatory authorities to have the control over work related non-conformities.

- Responsibility to attend customer complaints and resolve the same. Also to have customer feedback at regular intervals.

- Lead the team towards developments, modifications and validation of methods.

- Work and communicate cohesively with colleagues within the laboratory(ies), branches as well as other locations of the company.

- Responsibility of training need identification for all the staffs of the laboratory according to their existing job profile and follow up for training execution.

- Responsible and Accountable for profit and loss of the laboratory.

- Responsibility to chair the management review meeting and other meetings and to maintain KPI against Quality Objective and Lean Score Card indicators

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification:

  M.Sc in Chemistry

• Experience:

  8-10 years in laboratory analysis activities within the Oil & Petroleum Industry
