Job Description

As a Lab Facilitator / Science Laboratory Assistant in our Science department based in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective and safe operation of the science laboratories. Your responsibilities will include: - **Lab Preparation & Support** - Prepare chemicals, specimens, equipment, and other necessary resources for practical classes in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. - Assist teachers and students during laboratory sessions, offering technical support and guidance. - Set up and dismantle lab equipment before and after experiments. - **Safety & Compliance** - Maintain high health and safety standards within the science labs. - Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and biological materials. - Conduct routine safety checks and assist in emergency procedures like spill control or first aid. - **Equipment & Inventory Management** - Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure functionality and safety. - Keep an accurate inventory of lab materials and request replenishment when needed. - Ensure proper labeling and storage of all substances and apparatus. - **Documentation & Record Keeping** - Maintain detailed records of experiments, chemical inventories, usage logs, and safety procedures. - Assist teachers in documenting practical work for student reports or internal assessments. - **Curriculum & Instructional Support** - Support practical components of science curricula such as IB, Cambridge IGCSE/A-Levels, or national programs. - Collaborate with teachers to design and trial new experiments aligned with curriculum goals. - Help manage science fair materials, projects, or external science competitions. - **Maintenance & Housekeeping** - Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in laboratory spaces. - Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repairs promptly. - Safely operate and shut off gas, water, and electricity supplies when not in use. **Qualifications & Requirements** - Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) or Laboratory Technology. - Minimum 2 years of experience in a school or institutional laboratory setting. - Knowledge of lab safety procedures and chemical handling protocols. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Proficient in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus. - Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or American is desirable. In addition, we are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and have a passion for science and education. This full-time position requires working from Monday to Saturday, with flexibility during science fairs, events, or exam seasons.,
