Job Summary:

  • Ensure the timely production of local and global risk measures and reports daily
  • Monitor overnight risk batch processes and publish daily status reports
  • Respond to support incidents such as data load, calculation or report generation failures
  • Manage incident tickets and track resolution through ITSM tools (

    JIRA, ServiceNow

    )
  • Respond to end-user service requests
  • Release Management on UAT and Production environments
  • Ensure succinct and timely communication of issues to stakeholders (e.g. Global Risk business, support teams, management)
  • Contribute to operational documentation (e.g. knowledge-library articles, runbooks etc.)
  • Adhere to client International development standards and procedures, including change control
  • Coordinate

    test environment setup

     across all environments
  • Perform

    end-to-end test runs

     in non-production
  • Participate in rota with other support staff to provide support cover for Global Risk Platform, including on-call and weekend support
  • Manage

    infrastructure changes

     needed to enable access to Global Risk Platform for global users
  • Be able to assist users with creating queries and dashboards for both

    Matsuri (ActivePivot)

     and

    Global Reporting Layer (Snowflake)

  • Conduct HA/DR tests as required

Experience

  • 5-6 years of experience

     in global systems support, with emphasis on the

    Market Risk

    domain.
  • Experience with key financial industry data domains (e.g. reference data, market data etc.)
  • Understanding of

    financial produ

    cts (Rates, FX, Equities, Credit, Commodities, etc)  and familiarity with risk metrics (VaR, FRTB, sensitivities, stress tests)
  • Proficiency in

    the Japanese

     language
  • Strong communication, coordination, and incident management capabilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple work streams and assignments simultaneously.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in agile teams
  • Configuration & release management.
  • ITIL certification

Technical Knowledge/Skills

  • Hands-on experience with
    • SQL

       for data investigation and analysis
    • Unix/Linux

       for log monitoring and batch job handling
    • Scripting languages

       (Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation
  • Knowledge of

    cloud

     environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and

    CI/CD tools

  • Proficiency in software configuration management tools (e.g. version control, artefact repositories)
  • Proficiency in the use of collaboration tools such as

    Confluence and JIRA

  • Experience with continuous integration.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Active Directory (and role management in general)
  • Some exposure to querying MongoDB
  • Knowledge & understanding of vendor platforms in use (e.g. ActivePivot, Timescape) is a plus
