Kitchen Supervisor (Food Runner)

Role Overview: As a Kitchen Supervisor (Food Runner), your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and restaurant operations. You will be in charge of overseeing all activities related to order taking, food preparation, order pick up, and Kitchen Order Tickets (KOT) management. Your ability to manage these tasks efficiently will be crucial for the seamless functioning of the kitchen and timely food supply. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, food preparers, and kitchen helpers. - Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure timely completion of work. - Train new employees on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures. - Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns. - Ensure adherence to food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and preparation techniques. - Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health codes and regulations. - Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation, ensuring consistency and meeting customer expectations. - Possess basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu planning. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in a kitchen supervisory role or similar position. - Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage kitchen staff. - Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Flexibility to work on a full-time schedule.
