Job Title: Indian Kitchen Helper

Location: Café Khoblu

Reporting To: Indian Chef / Head Chef

Role Overview

* Support the Indian Chef in daily food preparation and kitchen operations

* Assist in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth workflow in the Indian kitchen section

* Ensure timely prep and service support during operational hours

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation Support

* Assist in cutting, chopping, peeling, washing, and prepping vegetables and raw materials

* Help in preparing basic gravies, masalas, dough, batters, and accompaniments as instructed

* Support plating and service during peak hours

* Carry out basic cooking tasks under supervision

2. Kitchen Operations and Assistance

* Assist the Indian Chef during service hours

* Refill mise en place and ensure workstation readiness

* Support other kitchen sections during rush or staff shortages when instructed

* Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures

3. Cleaning and Hygiene

* Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, equipment, and floors

* Follow daily cleaning checklists and waste disposal procedures

* Maintain personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards

* Follow FSSAI food safety and hygiene guidelines

4. Inventory and Stock Support

* Assist in storing raw materials properly as per FIFO and labelling norms

* Inform the chef immediately about low stock or spoilage

* Help in minimising wastage through careful handling of ingredients

5. Equipment and Safety

* Use kitchen tools and equipment safely

* Report damaged equipment, utensils, or safety hazards immediately

* Follow safe kitchen practices at all times

6. Discipline and Teamwork

* Follow instructions from the Indian Chef and Head Chef

* Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professionalism

* Work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff

* Respect kitchen hierarchy and operational protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
