Job Description

Job Title : Junior Test EngineerExperience: 0–1 YearLocation: MumbaiJob Type: Full-timeWe are looking for a *Manual Tester* with basic knowledge of automation testing concepts.The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality by executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with the development team to deliver reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities

Understand requirements, prepare, and execute test cases. Perform *manual testing* of web / mobile / desktop applications.Report, track, and re-test defects to ensure timely resolution. Assist in writing and maintaining basic automation test scripts (good to have).Work closely with developers and QA team members to improve product quality.Document test results and prepare test reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).Strong understanding of *manual testing concepts* (SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle).Basic knowledge of *automation testing tools* (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) – good to have.Familiarity with test case design techniques.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Eagerness to learn and grow in software testing.Good to Have: Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).Knowledge of SQL for database testing.Understanding of Agile methodology.
