Junior Podcast Producer

Maed in India, is seeking a Mumbai-based podcast producer to assist in developing, and launching productions of scripted and unscripted audio shows. We’re an organisation that puts the creator at the heart of what we do. Our mission is to be creatively bold, build loyal communities, nurture weird ideas and help people find their voice in the world of podcasting. 

The Junior Podcast Producer will work closely with Maed in India’s management and production team to support the direction of the shows and produce audio and video projects from recording to distribution. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Generate ideas, research and execute plan for podcast episodes
• Finding, booking, and coordination of guests
• Collaborate with team on scheduling, prep, pre-production, production, and post-production
• Writing and editing of scripts
• Assisting senior producers on various podcasts
• Ensure comfort and ease of hosts and guests during production
• Assisting on productions of remote/online, on-location and studio recordings
• Work on edits, ideate on format, video production, sound design and music for assembly of episodes
• Provide and accept meaningful feedback throughout the production process
• Collaborate and work alongside hosts, other producers, audio engineers, sound technicians, videographers, creators and actors. 
• Write episode and show descriptions
• Plan and manage timelines efficiently and ensure each episode is produced on time, quality-controlled, with a fast-paced workflow

Required Competencies

• We are looking for a strong candidate with a minimum of 1 year professional experience in audio content development and production and/or journalism / radio / film / television.
• Creative knowledge of audio/video production 
• Strong writing skills
• Punctual, with good time management skills, and ability to stick to a tight production schedule and multitask
• Ability to follow instructions and remain professional under pressure.
• Excellent people skills, kindness, and the ability to bring out the best in others
• Be proactive, use sound judgement, address things that need attention without direction
• A good ear, creative spirit and pays attention to detail

You will be expected to work seamlessly and communicate with multiple departments as well as external, 3rd party partners and creators and demonstrate a passion for working in a fast-paced, friendly, startup environment.

This will be a full-time position with a 4-month probation. The expected salary range for this role is Rs.3 lakh - Rs.5 lakh per annum.
