About the Program

The Odisha IIS JSW Swimming Program is a Public-Private Partnership between JSW Group and the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha. Our mission is to develop and promote swimming in Odisha.

Job Summary

The Junior Learn to Swim Trainer will be an integral part of our learn-to-swim program, providing expert instruction and guidance to students of all ages and skill levels. The successful candidate will have a strong swimming background, excellent coaching skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to students of all ages and skill levels

- Implement pre-designed lesson plans, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.

- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly

- Collaborate with the Area Admin to prepare daily reports as per the needs of the program

- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements

- 1-2 years of experience as a swimming Learn to Swim coach or instructor

- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, safety protocols, and lesson planning

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

- Ability to work varied hours, including weekends

- First Aid and CPR certification

- Police Clearance

Preferred qualifications:

- Coaching certification (ASCA, Swim Australia, NIS, STA Swim Course or equivalent)

- Specialization in teaching Learn to Swim.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
