Junior Interior Designer

Siyara Interiors is looking for a talented and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team in Pune. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in interior design who are eager to contribute to a variety of residential and commercial projects. You will support senior designers in transforming concepts into functional and visually appealing spaces, while gaining exposure to all stages of the design process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior designers to develop creative and functional interior design concepts.
• Prepare and revise 2D drawings, space plans, elevations, and detailed layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Create 3D models, mood boards, material boards, and visual presentations to communicate design intent.
• Assist in selecting finishes, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, and décor that align with the project’s aesthetic and budget.
• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements, present ideas, and support design discussions.
• Source materials and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to obtain quotations and samples.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, measure spaces, and ensure implementation aligns with design specifications.
• Maintain organized project documentation, including BOQs, material schedules, revisions, and correspondence.
• Research design trends, materials, and best practices to contribute fresh ideas to projects.
• Support the design team in administrative and project coordination tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in interior design; experience with both residential and commercial projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of design principles, space planning, color theory, materials, and furnishings.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and technical documents.
• Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, vendors, and contractors.
• A keen eye for detail, creativity, and a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with site supervision and coordination is a plus.
