Junior Estimator

The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for furniture and interior fit-out projects. This includes quantity take-offs, material costing, labor estimation, and vendor coordination to ensure competitive and profitable project bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for furniture, joinery, and interior projects.
• Study drawings, designs, and specifications to calculate material and labor requirements.
• Collect and compare quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for furniture fittings, raw materials, and finishes.
• Support in preparing detailed cost sheets, rate analysis, and comparison reports.
• Maintain updated price lists for timber, plywood, hardware, upholstery, laminates, veneers, and other furniture/interior materials.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions and quotations in coordination with the estimation team.
• Work closely with the design and production team to ensure accuracy of costings.
• Track project variations and assist in revising estimates as needed.
• Maintain records of all estimation documents and correspondence.
• Support the team in ensuring estimates are delivered on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in estimation (preferably in furniture, joinery, or interior industry).
• Basic knowledge of materials used in furniture and interior works (timber, laminates, hardware, finishes, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD (knowledge of estimation/ERP software is an advantage).
• Strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination ability with suppliers and internal teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
