Job Description

To support the Section In-Charge in ensuring machiningand beam welding activities are executed smoothly during the assigned shift, byverifying drawing availability, part readiness, process clarity, and ensuringtimely handover to the next stages without delays.

KeyResponsibilities

Shift Execution Support

Coordinate shift-wise execution across CNCplasma, drilling, milling, straightening, press brake, and SAW welding stations

Verify the availability of correct drawings, jobcards, and part identification before starting each job

Assist the Section In-Charge in manpowerallocation and consumable issuance

Progress Monitoring Escalation

Track real-time job progress across bays; reportany delays, part mismatches, or rework

Maintain logs of machine status, tool changes,minor issues, and breakdowns

Escalate tool wear, equipment problems, orrepeated issues to the Section In-Charge or Maintenance

Coordination Handover

Liaise with the Full Kit Coordinator to confirmavailability of parts and fixtures for the shift

Coordinate with QC for inspection of completedjobs and ensure timely handover

Maintain proper documentation for all ongoingand completed jobs during the shift

Compliance Discipline

Ensure only current and approved drawings are inuse

Support adherence to WPS and welding/processingsequence

Maintain orderliness and process discipline onthe shop floor during the shift

Qualifications Experience

Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, orProduction Engineering (B.Tech preferred)

2+ years of experience in CNC machining, SAWbeam welding, or structural fabrication environments

Able to read mechanical and fabricationdrawings, weld symbols, and job cards

Exposure to CNC plasma, drilling, press brake,or SAW welding operations

Experience in shift-based coordination anddocumentation

Key Skills

Shift tracking and job progress monitoring

Drawing interpretation and documentation control

Coordination across CNC, SAW, and fit-upstations

Machine log keeping, tool change tracking, andescalation

WIP management and clear communication duringshift handovers

Strong floor presence and follow-throughdiscipline
