Description
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for working on the operation and automation of Linux servers, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure. You will support senior engineers in ensuring uptime, scalability, and performance of the systems. This role offers hands-on experience with a wide range of DevOps technologies such as Kubernetes, scripting, CI/CD, and observability. Your key responsibilities will include supporting Linux administration tasks like patching, upgrades, and maintenance. You will assist in VMware/Red Hat virtualization and resource provisioning. Additionally, you will be involved in deploying and monitoring applications on Docker and Kubernetes, as well as writing Bash scripts for basic automation tasks. Supporting database operations for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB will also be part of your role. Monitoring logs, system metrics, and alerts to identify performance bottlenecks, participating in Agile ceremonies, and maintaining task documentation are essential aspects of the job. You will also work on security updates, patch cycles, and hardening activities, and contribute to CMS deployments like WordPress and Drupal under guidance. To excel in this role, you should have hands-on experience in Linux system administration, familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals, and basic scripting skills (Bash required, Python optional). An understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, exposure to virtualization technologies, knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, and awareness of security and patch management practices are also required. Preferred certifications for this role include RHCSA or equivalent Linux certification, Kubernetes Fundamentals or CKA (in progress preferred), and basic cloud certifications like AWS/Azure basics.,
