Job Title: Junior Chemist – Minerals & Metals (Ferro Alloys) Department: Quality Control / Laboratory Location: Panagarh Reporting To: Senior Chemist / Lab Manager Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Chemist to support laboratory operations in the Ferro Alloys industry. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing, analyzing, and testing mineral and metal samples, with a focus on ferro alloys such as molybdenum, vanadium, manganese. This role involves routine chemical and instrumental analysis, sample preparation, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, process, and analyze mineral and metal samples from ferro alloy (molybdenum, vanadium) production lines. Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses using techniques such as titration , gravimetric analysis , spectroscopy (AAS/ICP/OES) , and XRF . Support metallurgical testing and characterization of alloys. Record, compile, and report analytical data with accuracy and precision. Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments and equipment. Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements. Assist senior chemists and metallurgists in ongoing R&D or quality control projects. Adhere to all safety protocols, especially while handling hazardous substances and high-temperature materials. Maintain cleanliness and order in the laboratory and storage areas. Skills & Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field · Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments. Basics knowledge of metallurgy. Understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures. Collaboration with colleagues and other departments.
