Job Title: Process Engineer – Metals & Mining Location: Panagarh Plant, West Bengal Department: Production / Operations Job Description:- We are looking for a Process Engineer with hands-on experience in the metals and mining industry to join our team at the Panagarh plant. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of metallurgical processes and extractive metallurgy , and be capable of driving production efficiency, quality control, and operational excellence in a dynamic plant environment. Roles & Responsibilities:- Oversee and optimize metallurgical processes including ore beneficiation, smelting, refining, and other extractive metallurgy operations. Support daily production planning, execution, and monitoring activities. Collaborate with the production team to ensure output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets. Manage daily production activities, scheduling, resource allocation. Drive continuous improvement in process parameters to enhance recovery rates, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards. Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Maintain detailed records of process parameters, production volumes, and material balances. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment availability and performance. Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process upsets and equipment failures. Assist in training and development of junior staff on metallurgical best practices. Job Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering/Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related discipline. Preferable from chemistry background. 2–5 years of relevant experience in process engineering within the metals, mining, or mineral processing industry. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Strong foundation in extractive metallurgy and metallurgical unit operations. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. Working knowledge of process modelling, data analysis, and report preparation.
