Junior Architect

Job Title: Architect Designer – Construction & Real EstateExperience: 1 – 2 YearsLocation: Chennai Department: Architecture / DesignEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the Role:We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Architect Designer with 2–3 years of professional experience in the construction and architectural field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing residential and commercial spaces, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring that all designs align with the company’s aesthetic vision and functional requirements. This role involves close coordination with project managers, engineers, and site teams to translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions. Key Responsibilities:·        Develop architectural designs, layouts, and working drawings for residential and commercial projects. ·        Prepare concept presentations, 2D plans, 3D models, and renderings to communicate design intent. ·        Collaborate with the engineering, site, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and execution accuracy. ·        Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design adherence during construction. ·        Coordinate with consultants and vendors for material selection and specifications. ·        Prepare and manage BOQs (Bills of Quantities), material sheets, and design documentation. ·        Revise and update designs based on client feedback, technical requirements, and site conditions. ·        Ensure compliance with building codes, local regulations, and structural safety norms. Required Skills & Qualifications:·        Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution. ·        2–3 years of experience in architectural design or project design coordination within the construction or real estate industry. ·        Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Photoshop, and MS Office. ·        Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and detailing. ·        Creative thinking with excellent visualization and presentation skills. ·        Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet project timelines. ·        Good communication and coordination skills for client and internal discussions. Preferred Attributes:·        Experience in residential, villa, or apartment project design. ·        Exposure to interior design and space planning will be an added advantage. ·        Knowledge of sustainable and cost-effective design solutions. ·        Strong eye for aesthetics, proportion, and functional design. Work Environment:·        Office + Site-based role with collaboration across design and project teams.
