Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant at Malar Hospital in Hosur, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the hospital. Your responsibilities will include recording financial transactions, managing bills, preparing basic financial reports, handling petty cash, and collaborating with the senior accountant on various financial audits and reconciliations. You will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions such as cash, bank, and journal entries while ensuring the accurate maintenance of books of accounts using accounting software such as Tally and Excel. Additionally, you will assist in billing and invoice processing for inpatient, outpatient, and insurance claims, as well as the disbursement of petty cash and maintenance of related expense registers. Your role will also involve supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assisting in the reconciliation of bank statements and vendor accounts, and maintaining records of GST, TDS, PF/ESI deductions under supervision. Proper organization and filing of all financial documents will be essential for easy retrieval and audit readiness, along with providing assistance during internal and statutory audits. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or its equivalent, along with at least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (healthcare experience is a plus). Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP and MS Excel is required, and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles is essential. Attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential data responsibly are key attributes for success in this role. You should also be willing to learn and adapt to the specific accounting processes within a hospital environment.
