Junior Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our construction company. The ideal candidate will handle company accounts, project-wise accounting, payroll, purchases, payments, and bookkeeping, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. --- Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally software. Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts regularly. Prepare journal entries and ensure all ledgers are updated timely. 2. Project-wise Accounting Maintain project-wise income and expenditure records. Allocate costs and revenues to respective projects. Generate project-wise profitability and cost reports for management review. 3. Payroll Management Prepare and process monthly payroll for staff and site workers. Maintain attendance and wage registers. 4. Purchases & Payments Verify and record supplier bills and purchase orders. Maintain vendor ledger and ensure timely payments. Monitor project site material purchase and consumption records. 5. Receipts & Collections Record and track client receipts against invoices. Follow up for payment collections from clients. Maintain updated customer ledger and ageing reports. 6. Compliance & Reporting Assist in filing GST, TDS, and other statutory returns. Support auditors with year-end financial statements and reports. Prepare monthly financial summaries and management reports. --- Required Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and construction accounting. Proficiency in Tally / MS Excel. Good communication and analytical skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. --- Salary: As per industry standards / negotiable based on experience.
