Job Description

Jr. Systems Analyst

As part of the IT application group, the Jr Systems Analyst will troubleshoot, debug and document software code to insure consistency and efficiency of critical IT applications.

Responsibilities

Should understand and support the existing interfaces with Retail solutions and document the critical application functionality.

Interact with the production control team on production issues and resolve them in a timely manner within the SLA.

Understand current business flows, processes, architecture, and leverage that in designing and developing new interfaces.

Conduct tests to ensure functionality and quality control.

Work with non-technical employees to understand requirements and be able to quickly convert those requirements into working code.

Part of the development team in implementing new solutions to the Retail/CRM systems

Applying patches, upgrades in development environment and test them thoroughly.

Development of custom reports.

Reviewing of error logs and maintaining system health and environments that supports the Retail and CRM solutions.

Handles production support and available on-call.

Requirements & Experience

Strong Object-Oriented programming (OOAD and OOPS) skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to aid in trouble shooting and problem solving is mandatory.

Knowledge of Java, HTML, XML, Web services and batch scripting

Experience and knowledge in Retail / CRM solutions is desirable.

Experience in the fashion industry (apparel, footwear, accessories...) is a plus.

Experience and knowledge in Oracle Store Systems / Cloud based POS systems is desirable.

Should be flexible for night shift.

Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

Should be able to handle pager and support systems during nighttime.

Knowledge on Apache, Tomcat or Jetty will be an added advantage.

Key Skills

: SQL Server, Java, XML, Web Services and Batch Scripting

Qualifications:

BE degree or higher.

Excellent communication skills
