Job Description – Jr. Design Engineer

Position: Jr. Design Engineer

Reporting to: Managing Director / Technical Head

Location: Jambusar

Workdays / Timings: 6 Days per Week, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Required Experience

• 3–5 years of experience (preferably in Kitchen Equipment Manufacturing, Machine Manufacturing, or Engineering Services sector).

Required Qualification

• B.E. – Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Sheet Metal) and AutoCAD

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment models and detailed design drawings using SolidWorks (Sheet Metal).
• Support equipment modelling and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation / take-off from SolidWorks.
• Understand and interpret customer technical specifications.
• Interact with customers for design-related discussions and clarifications.
• Contribute to the development of new products and optimization of existing products with focus on functionality, ease of manufacturing, quality, and cost.
• Standardize products and/or components to reduce design cycle time.
• Maintain and organize design and drawings folder for accuracy and accessibility.
• Provide daily reporting of work progress.
• Assist in design work planning for self and team.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in 2D & 3D design (Sheet Metal) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience in completing equipment models to the last level of detail (including fasteners, accessories, etc.).
• Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and general tolerances.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and support senior engineers in delegating tasks.
• Proactive approach to meeting design activity deadlines.
• Preferred: Experience in load simulation using SolidWorks.
• Preferred: Ability to generate rendered and exploded views of models.
• Preferred: Experience in creating motion graphics for model assembly and dismantling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
