Jr. Design Engineer – Automation (Solid Edge & AutoCAD) Location: Pune, Maharashtra Department: Engineering & Automation Experience: 2–3 Years Employment Type: Full-Time-Permenent Role Summary We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with strong expertise in Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing machine designs, preparing detailed engineering drawings, supporting manufacturing, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver automation solutions with precision and efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Solid Edge. • Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, layouts, and schematics in AutoCAD. • Design automation machinery, jigs & fixtures, conveyors, special purpose machines (SPM) and custom industrial solutions. • Conduct engineering calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis. • Ensure designs meet mechanical, electrical, safety & regulatory standards. Technical Documentation • Create BOM, assembly instructions, GA drawings, fabrication drawings • Maintain structured engineering documentation and data management. Required Skills & Qualifications • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 2–3 years of experience in industrial/automation machine design. • Proficiency in Solid Edge (mandatory) & AutoCAD. • Strong knowledge of Mechanical design fundamentals ,GD&T and tolerance stack-up Industrial standards & machine safety. • Understanding of manufacturing processes: machining, welding, sheet metal, assembly. • Familiarity with BOM creation, PDM/PLM systems. • Ability to multitask, prioritize & meet project deadlines.
