Job description We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Site Engineer (Structural) to manage accurate site measurements, prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and coordinate with project teams for smooth execution. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in material quantity estimation, site-level coordination, and client communication. Job Location: Vallam, Oragadam, Sriperumbudur. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate onsite marking, including all level markings as per approved drawings. Prepare and maintain Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and calculate quantities for steel, concrete, and other construction materials. Track, verify, and update material consumption on-site and raise requirements accordingly. Maintain quantity records and generate reports using basic Excel tools. Coordinate with the project team, vendors, and production engineers for timely planning and execution. Communicate effectively with clients via email and in-person for approvals, clarifications, and updates. Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards in all site activities. Qualifications & Skills Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying / Structural works. Strong knowledge of quantity measurements, BBS preparation, and material estimation. Proficiency in MS Excel (basic level) for maintaining quantity and consumption records. Good communication and coordination skills for client and internal team interactions. Ability to work independently and ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.
